L68 345KV Feeder Repair
Hallen Integrated Construction Services has served as the contractor of choice for a generating facility in Rockland County, New York, which provides critical support for the region’s high energy demands. Most recently, HICS completed a major emergency repair on a legacy 345 kV High-Pressure Fluid-Filled (HPFF) underground transmission system. The project featured what is believed to be the largest documented HPFF cable splice ever installed, measuring 174 inches in length. Working in challenging underground conditions, the team safely executed an extensive cable repair, reconstructed critical infrastructure, and successfully restored this vital transmission circuit to service. The project demonstrates HICS industry-leading expertise in underground electric transmission, complex HPFF cable splicing, and emergency utility response. By delivering a safe, efficient, and technically demanding solution, HICS helped ensure the continued reliability of one of the region’s critical power generation facilities.
